In solar energy systems, circuit breakers often trip. Some projects have no DC leakage after inspection, and ordinary circuit breakers without leakage protection function also trip frequently. What are the reasons?
According to our usual experience, we roughly analyze the following reasons:
1. Current reasons. The circuit breaker is too small or the quality is not up to standard.
Judgment basis: It does not trip at ordinary times, and only trips when the weather is good and the photovoltaic system has a large power.
Solution: Replace the circuit breaker with a high power or a reliable quality circuit breaker.
2. Voltage reasons. The circuit breaker phase voltage is too high. When the power of the photovoltaic system is greater than the load power, the inverter increases the voltage to send power out.
Judgment basis: Use a multimeter to measure the circuit breaker voltage, which exceeds the rated voltage of the circuit breaker.
Solution: Replace the cable with a larger wire diameter to reduce the line impedance.
